The Tokyo Global Partner Scholarship Program is awarded to high-achieving students who wish to pursue their graduate education at Tokyo Metropolitan University (TMU).
By bringing together students from around the world, the scholarship intends to promote TMU
as an educational and research hub for collaboration and innovation that contributes to
the development of Tokyo and beyond.

Who Can Apply:
Master’s applicants (22+ years old) with a bachelor’s degree/equivalent
PhD applicants (24+ years old) with a master’s degree/equivalent
Minimum GPA 2.30 from your current/most recent institution
Affiliation with a TMU partner institution, Tokyo’s sister cities, or any Asian country/region
Students already in a Master’s program in Japan with a “Student” visa
Language Proficiency:
Japanese: JLPT N2+ or equivalent (or willingness to learn basic Japanese during the program)
English: B2 level (IELTS/TOEFL/equivalent) or previous English-taught program
